Members traveled to Cortland, New York Saturday to participate in the Resque Jack Stabilization University. Resque Jack is a manufacturer of stabilization equipment that incorporates a unique lifting system into their struts allowing for a fast and efficient setup. The training event is held annually and hosted 185 firefighters and 56 instructors from across the country. The training consisted of 10 different scenarios simulating unique challenges that may be encountered while responding to an accident. Engine 8 (Berlin) and Squad 4 (Kensington) are outfitted with Resque Jacks.
