Early this morning the towns four fire companies were dispatched to the report of a possible structure fire at 80 Berlin Turnpike.
Arriving units reported a moderate smoke condition on the first floor of the multi-family home and evacuated the building.
Crews investigating determined the cause to be a faulty motor and subsequent burnt filter in the residences heating unit.
The issue was isolated to the heating unit which was placed out of service. Fire department personnel ventilated the building and metered for carbon monoxide.
No injuries were reported and the residents were allowed to re-occupy the home.
