Early in the morning of 9/22 the town's fire companies were dispatched to multiple incidents.

At 00:44 dispatch reported an alarm at the CWPM transfer station located at 415 Christian Ln. The first arriving crew reported a working fire inside the transfer building and requested an upgraded assignment. Fire personnel worked to extinguish the fire with the assistance of heavy equipment from the facility. The incident was deemed under control at 02:30. The cause is under investigation.

At 01:14 While operating at the Christian Ln fire dispatch reported a second alarm coming from the Casa Mia Restaurant located at 2421 Berlin Turnpike. Fire department crews investigated the alarm which was determined to be a system malfunction. The system was placed back in service and no other action was necessary.
